Mangroves on News Radio 93.8 FM

Otterman had a chat on the Living Room about mangroves last Thursday, 16 Dec 2004 on News Radio 93.8FM. They will be rebroadcasting the chat on Sunday, 19 Dec 2004 from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. The 35.5MB mp3 archive is available here.

One caller, Mr Mohd, 79, from Johor Bahru, grew up amongst stilt houses of mangroves near Lido Beach. He describes how he used to eat Rhizophora propagules as a snack with salt and grated coconut.

In future, expect to hear about the International Coastal Cleanup Singapore, Pulau Hantu and other nature and environment stories.
