Flowers of the Sea hibiscus

Sea hibiscus (Hibiscus tiliaceus, Family Malvacea): - "Petals are bright yellow fading to a dull orange, with a maroon eye" - see A Guide to the Mangroves of Singapore. Oddly enough, the scientific name of the Sea Hibiscus is actually now Talipariti tiliaceus due to the taxonomic revision, "Fryxell, P.A., 2001. Talipariti gen. nov., a segregate from Hibiscus (Malvaceae). Contr. Univ. Michigan Herb. 23: 225Ð270. "Magnificent Malvaceans." A guide to the genus Hibiscus of the family Malvaceae. By Stewart R.
