Wireless @ Sungei Buloh

Category : marine

Saturday (25 Aug 2007) morning - Lim Cheng Puay does an Attenborough at the very hide his hero sat down at between shoots in December 2006. Oh, I'm writing this at the Visitor Centre Mangrove Boardwalk at Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve. Thre's wireless here now!

I met him at Clementi at 7am and he came laden with kopi and kaya toast. A cab ride down to Buloh and we were greeted by some familiar friends...

Luan Keng worked with Krish at Buloh a long time ago - they used to send me detailed otter sighting records at a time when there was a transient in residence.

From the bridge over the Sungei Buloh river In the distance, a bird on a branch, who would receive much more attention from phtographers with really big lenses.

This guy was enjoying the sun!

More later, we're rushing to the launch of the wireless now. Look out for more photos at the Flickr tag "wirelessbuloh". The network is fast and we're having fun with our macs here...

Wow that was a quick launch - I barely began to capture some scenes with my handphone but it was over in 15 minutes!
