24 Nov - 31 Dec 2005 - "From Ants to Eagles," a photographic exhibition

Category : events

A Photographic Exhibition by the Nature Photographic Society (Singapore).

24 November - 31 December 2005: Monday to Sunday, 11am - 9pm.

At epSITE, Epson Imaging Gallery. 501 Orchard Road, #03-18/19 Wheelock Place, Singapore 238880. Tel: 6736 4986.

Curator: Tan Haur. Admission Free. www.epson.com.sg

"In this exhibition 19 skilled nature photographers from the society aptly demonstrate the beauty that exists in the macro-world and in the fluttering, fleeting realm of the winged jewels. From the tiny insects that live virtually unseen in a patch of long grass to the blur of colour from our feathered friends weaving through the trees, more heard than seen, is where the title of our exhibition "From Ants to Eagles" was derived."

"In the early hours of many weekend mornings and again in the angled late pre-dusk sunlight, members have been patiently stalking various subjects and composing many images over the last four years. All would agree that the delight is to be close to nature and the bonus is to get good images. This exhibition aims to stir emotions and generate an interest in the natural world with the hope that balanced approaches will be taken towards development and these subjects will be available to future generations to marvel at and to photograph."
