Semakau Landfill opens for recreational use!

16 Jul 2005 - The "Official launch of Semakau landfill for recreational activities" was held on Saturday at Pulau Semakau. The guest of honour was Dr Yacob Ibrahim, Minster for the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR).

Wildfilms, Blue Water Volunteers, Raffles Museum Toddycats, Nature Society (Singapore), The Sport Fishing Association of Singapore and former residents visited the island for the launch and also flew kites kites and rode bicycles!
