It is co-organised and hosted by NUS PEACE (formerly NUS Animal Welfare Club) and Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES). The Symposium will feature panelists and discussion on Wild Animals in Entertainment and Domestic Animal Welfare and will include speakers from local animal protection groups and presentations by the 2008 Animal Protectors Grant recipients. A“Cruelty-Free Bazaar” will showcase cruelty-free products available in Singapore. The Symposium will also launch the 2009 Animal Protectors Grant.
