"Urban Escape," TCS Ch 5, Tuesdays, 7.30 pm

Category : tvradio

Saw bits of "Urban Escape: Thomson" and the synopsis on the TCS webpage reads:

"Join Jeassea Thyidor and Timothy Nga as they visit one of the oldest clubs in Singapore - the Singapore Polo Club where urbanites get a chance to try out horse-riding, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall which commemorates the life and achievements of the Father of Modern China, and Central Catchment Nature Reserve where the hosts take on an Indiana-Jones like adventure on the 27-metre high Tree Top walk and enjoy the scenic waterways of Lower Pierce Reservoir Park along the Lower Pierce Boardwalk."

They feature a different area each week and in the weeks to follow it appears they will feature Telok Blangah (26th April 2005) and Punggol (3rd May 2005). And there appear to be slots through the rest of May and June 2005 as well. You can set a simple email reminder if you are apt to forget.

They try to feature a mix of interesting sites and the Raffles Museum was included the episode on the western part of Singapore. Naturalist Subaraj Rajathurai caught it and said it was not too bad.
