International Coastal Cleanup Singapore (Mangroves) 2001
This is the 10th anniversary of the event in Singapore, and the 5th year of the Mangrove Cleanup. The Mangrove cleanup is coordinated this year by the NUS Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research, with kind assistance from Sungei Buloh Nature Park and Kate Thome.

Cleanup and data submission at Buloh and Kranji mangrove systems during the low tide.
Trash bag transfer from Kranji mangrove the reservoir park by Sea Scouts during the high tide.

Briefing about the history, objectives and methods of the Coastal Cleanup.

Friday, 7th September 2001: 9am - 12pm
Venue: Sungei Buloh Nature Park.
SBNP Slide Show, followed by an introduction to the mangroves ecosystem in Singapore:
history, geography, flora & fauna (theatrette).
Guided tour of Visitor Centre, Mangrove Boardwalk, Bridge over Sg. Buloh Besar and the Main Hide.

Saturday, 8th September 2001: 9am - 12pm
Venue: Buloh - Kranji mangroves.
10th ICCS begins!
