The colouration of the abdomen varies: some specimens may be completely black.

Egg-sacs are in green silk.
Classification: Family Araneidae, Orb-Web Spiders.
Habitat: Gardens, wasteland, secondary forests.
Female: 6-10 mm.
Male: 3-5 mm.
Distribution: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, India, Australia, Fiji, China, Japan.
