Body laterally-compressed, first 3 dorsal spines seem separated from rest of dorsal
fin but connected by a very low membrane, dorsal origin between hind margin of eye and hind edge of preopercle, snout as long as or longer than eye diameter. Inhabits estuarine areas, including mangrove creeks. To 7.5 cm. With venomous spines.
