Two dorsal fins, the first a single long ray over the head, the second with a series of small fin rays in the middle part; anal fin similar to the second dorsal fin; pelvin fins enlarged and elongated; brown above, silvery on sides. Open-water planktivore in coastal areas. To 13 cm.
