name in chinese characters

Primarily freshwater fish; 20 cm; oviparous; omnivorous; gregarious; midwater to near- bottom dweller. Indigenous, uncommon. Forest streams and reservoirs.

This fish often has red fins, distinctly large eyes,
a series of neatly broken black lines across the sides and no barbels at the mouth. The eyes in larger adults are red, but tend to be plain coloured in the more common smaller individuals.
