Launch
of Get Close to Nature project
Fun Activities for Kids and the Kid in Each of Us For the young and young at heart are a series of Fun With Nature Workshops all day. All kids, their families and teachers are invited to learn more about birds, bugs, frogs, butterflies and fish! Guides will be sharing fun facts about animal ecology, conservation issues, pet-care and teach nature-related craftwork; fun for the whole family!
Exhibitions One of the highlights of Nature Day 2003 will be an exhibition on Nature in Singapore. Students from the Students Care Service, together with their mentors from the Singapore Management University. NSS will share the wonder of nature at Khatib Bongsu, showcasing this threatened nature spot as a neighbourhood treasure and living classroom. NSS' Marine Conservation Group will be showcasing the wonders of Singapore's underwater life.

an idea of what committed organizations and citizens are
doing to conserve Nature for all ages. Others who will be
there include Edu Outdoor Activities, Green Volunteers
Network, National Environmental Agency, Singapore
Environment Council, SPCA, Students Care Service, Sungei
Buloh Wetland Reserve, Raffles Girls' School, Henry Park
Primary School, Corporation Primary School, the National
Institute of Education, the Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the
Singapore Management University and many more. Nature Day festivities will be closed by honouring a number of NSS' most dedicated volunteers for their generous contributions of time and effort at the special Appreciation Ceremony on 3rd August 2003.
